The 11th edition of Techtextil North America held May 13-15, 2014, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta has been recognized for total attendance and the number of exhibiting companies in Trade Show Executive Magazine’s Fastest 50 Class of 2014 for the first time since the show’s inception. Each year Trade Show Executive honors the 50 fastest-growing shows in three categories: net square feet (nsf) of paid exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies and total attendance. Techtextil North America received recognition for the large increase in total attendance welcoming 5417 visitors during the show in 2014 versus the 4275 visitors that were recorded in 2012. Techtextil North America was also honored for the increase in exhibiting companies. In 2014, 365 companies exhibited in Atlanta versus 314 in 2012. Exhibitors from 26 countries were represented on the 2014 show floor. “Making the Fastest 50 list is a sign of success and underlines our commitment to the industries that we serve,” comments Dennis Smith, president, Messe Frankfurt North America. “Also, this accomplishment is a great motivator to our team, in Atlanta and around the world that sells and organizes our textile events”. Techtextil North America was co-located with Texprocess Americas and JEC Americas, which resulted in an unparalleled event creating the largest technical textiles, nonwovens, sewn products and equipment, and composites trade show in the United States. Techtextil North America will receive the award during the Awards and Summit celebration held May 19-21, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL.
